Customers buy it not because the product has a cheaper price, but because they have the trust in the product and the seller. if you think your current product has the cheaper cost is an advantage, you're totally wrong. Because no matter how cheap your product's price, it's always the higher cost than the fake products price, that's why many end users always choose the higher price products if they afford to buy even though the products look similar.
If you’re a plastic factory, you would definitely want to know how biodegradable materials could help your business get more sales?
1, Biodegradable materials would definitely increase market trust in your brand, trust definitely means sales. Because customers trust you, they would choose your product even though they could find a similar product in the market that has a lower price than yours. Why? Because when you replace the plastics with biodegradable materials you’re telling your customers you’re social care, you’re socially responsible, you won’t sell products for profit if they cause harm to the human body and environmental pollution. This ethically differentiated your business with others, because you have higher morality, you’re lesser likely to cheat others, ( the business that has low morality would sell products at a cheaper cost but a lot of cheating ) that’s why customers would prefer to buy from you.
2, Biodegradable materials would definitely give your customers more trust in the product. Many people said plastics have no harm to the human body is lying, but if you say biodegradable materials have no harm to the human body is honest. Let’s compare them below:
(a) Biodegradable materials are coming from food resources such as corn, seaweed, cassava, etc. They’re renewable and food-safe, surely have no harm to the human body. But plastics, have a lot of bad chemicals and heavy metals they could cause people to have a lot of illnesses, plastic manufacturers especially those making food boxes, juice bottles, flexible packages are making a small profit from selling their product, but people who use it will spend millions of dollars to save them from the illness caused by the plastic products. (from this, you can see why factories replace the plastics with biodegradable materials have higher morality)
(b) Biodegradable materials will return to nature by degrading into water and carbon dioxide, purely no pollution to the environment. However, plastics not only will cause a long period of pollution to the environment but also will disintegrate into microplastics, release bad chemicals and heavy metals into the soil to damage our ecosystem, far more than that, those bad elements will continue in the ecological cycle, for example, heavy metals and microplastics may be absorbed by plants, animals, fishes, birds, they will return to our food to cause a lot of harm to the human body again.
